Gundula: I commend your thoughts & comment! To decry other professionals questions as being "inane' implies an overdose of superiority complex and actually is rather insulting into the bargain. I am sure that there are times when people just don't know where to go after making initial researches and need guidance or even a quick "tip" from someone who may have been the same route before. The internet offers a medium of communication and support that folk have never experienced prior to this electronic age(sic) and it has long proven its value in these areas. (apart from spammers of course!) I am personally grateful for the help that we have rec'd from members of lis-link for sometimes even university libraries within 200 kms don't carry a journal or text that I have needed for research purposes.
