IIS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT EVENTS The IIS Professional Development Events (formerly known as the Evening Events) are workshops and lectures set up specifically to help information specialists pursue their professional development interests, without having to take time away from their jobs during working hours. They feature a variety of topics at a variety of levels. These may appeal to anyone wishing for an introduction to something new, or to the less experienced members of the information profession. Normally no more than 15 people can register for each event, so there will be plenty of opportunity to participate in the discussion or ask questions.
