>Job Responsibilities

>- Managing daily functioning of programme, including financial and
>administrative coordination of the programme and personnel support and
>management (staff include: 50% Research Coordinator, Junior Research Officer,
>part-time Administrator, part-time Field workers)

>- Participation in immigration and refugee policy and advocacy forums.

>-  Liaising with governmental and non-governmental organisations on issues
>relating to former Mozambican refugees and other migrant and refugee groups

>- Developing and continuing programme links with other organisations working in
>related fields.

>-  Writing funding proposals and reporting to donors; expanding the human
>resource capacity of the programme to cover current immigration and refugee

>Skill Requirements
>
>- project/programme management experience
>- post-graduate degree in social science subject
>- experience with socio-economic research in rural areas 
>- experience with financial administration
>- good inter-personal skills
>- experience with writing funding proposals & accounting to funders
>- report writing skills
>- fluent in english

>- Salary R78,528 (pro-rata). - Subsidised medical aid coverage. - One
>year contract Jan 99 - Dec 99 through The University of the
