 Still like Repsyching for the whole process, but it's too corny for
"serious literary consideration" so:
extractive seems to me to fit quite well, "The extractive elements of
the text", carrying the ideas of excerpting, taking out with force which
this method often does to the original text??, and distillation, since
the method would almost always tend to "condensare".
