not all that overblown i think

assuming the spammer didn't just forge the address
in which case there isn't much that geocities could do about it directly
then geocities will have pulled the plug on this guy as soon as it was
brought to their attention

just as Stockport County FC have banned the thug in Marseilles

If you can prove that geocities are not taking spamming
as seriously as the FA are taking football hooliganism
then I'll shut up
