To Doug's account of why-women-poets-get-pissed-off-by-the-male-poetry- scene let me add: the appalling track record for male editing of women poets: HD, Loy, Niedecker to name but three. When Ann & I published Niedecker's last collection, we wanted it to be perfect, the book that made up for all the plonkers in former publishings. But there, on the title page, we got her name wrong, NEIDECKER, same as it was put wrong on her grave by the (presumably male) Lake Koshkonong undertaker. Shit happens.
