Violent Femmes: Eighteenth-Century Violent Women

This panel will examine representations of feminine violence in the
eighteenth century. Papers discussing the historical context of
feminine violence as depicted in such sources as criminal biographies and
conduct manuals are particularly encouraged, as are examinations of
violent women in the poetry, drama, or fiction of the period. However, any
discussion of feminine violence in the "long" eighteenth century
(1660-1820) is welcome.
