Research Assistant: Data Management and Quantitative Psychology/Statistics Applications are invited from graduates with an IT or statistics/quantitative psychology background to fill the post of research assistant on a newly funded 5 year MRC research project co- directed by Professors Avshalom Caspi and Terrie E. Moffit. The research aims to investigate the environmental risk for the development of children’s disruptive behaviour using a twin design. The post involves data base design, management of datasets, and statistical analysis under the supervision of the project statistician. Applicants should have knowledge of data base management and statistical analysis techniques (using packages such as ACCESS, STATA and SPSS). Knowledge of computerised systems for managing projects and monitoring their progress would be a plus, as is some experience with setting up web pages. This post is ideal for a new graduate or other qualified applicant who is keen to develop skills and experience in a cutting-edge academic research environment. Starting salary in the range £17,596 pa to £19,400 pa (inclusive of £2,134 pa London Allowance).
