Abstract
How do you simulate realistic hourly rainfall data if you only have
daily totals recorded? In a spatio-temporal data set of solar
radiation measurements, is it better to fill in missing values at a
site using contemporary observations at other sites or using other
observation times at the same site? We will see how latent Gaussian
variables can be used to build elegant multivariate models of
spatio-temporal weather data, and thus answer these questions.
