John Palmer of Dorset has recently pointed out to me that he has
constructed a Web Site around his research in the Parish Registers of
Wirksworth, which includes Wirksworth town, Middleton, Cromford,
Alderwasley and 200 other placenames. He claims that the records contain
over 30,000 people. Wirksworth being the mining town it was, there are
records of mining accidents, the arrival of Cornish miners in
Wirksworth, and much more information about a mining town.

The address of the site is http://www.lds.co.uk/wirksworth
