Has anyone else noticed that some records (probably 6 or 7%) on the British Nursing Index (WinSpirs version, on CD-ROM) aren't searchable by descriptor? The descriptors should be separated by a semi-colon followed by a space, but on a proportion of records, the space is missing. Try this: #1 diabetes #2 diabetes in de #3 #1 not #2 then have a look at the descriptor field for the records in set #3: nearly all of them have been indexed under "diabetes", but the space is missing.
