OVID now say they do not recommend using a CD Serve for networking, and they will NOT support this option. So, come on all you who ARE accessing/providing OVID over a network - how do you do it?? Do we: 1) Have to run the whole lot via a multistorey CD tower? 2) Load the CDs onto a hard drive? 3) Have to bite the bullet and use the user-unfriendly SilverPlatter interface instead? Please DON'T suggest using the Internet/intranet/NHSNet!!! We'd love to, if we had access to it, if we could afford it, and if our users had access to it. Maybe one day.....! We're currently running Medline and CINAHL in OVID, on a Windows NT network, using CD Serve for loading the CD-ROMs. Your experience would be appreciated, before I collapse under the strain!
