Dear Kim,
I liked the treatment of the later middle ages through the
renaissance in John Bossy's Christianity in the West: 1400 -- 1700. I
used it in History of Christianity, not Reformation. My students did
not like it, however, but that is a lower division class. Perhaps they
would if they had more background. It certainly took a different
approach.
