Artistic representations other than sculpture go for the rays-of-light version--I'm thinking in particular of Dore's 19th-century engravings, and there may be some paintings too. "Horns" were the only way a sculptor would have had to depict such a thing on Moses' head. John Parsons Indeed, there are paintings of the horned Moses (see Ruth Mellinkoff's book, as suggested by Elizabeth McLachlan).
