Dear List Members,

_Disputatio: An International Transdisciplinary Journal of the Late
Middle Ages_ is still looking for papers on the topic of
'TRANSSUBSTANTIATION' for its volume III (1998). If you have a
contribution (essay, note, review) ready to go or one which could be
finalized within a short period of time, please contact the editors,
Carol Poster ([log in to unmask]) or Richard Utz
([log in to unmask]). Vol. III will also contain a
bibliography on the subject of 'Transsubstantiation' in Late Medieval
and Early Modern Culture and Literature. While titles in journals and
monographs are relatively easy to find, essays in collections and
Festschriften are more difficult to detect. We would appreciate any
bibliographic hints you might give us in this respect.

Thank you very much in advance.

	Richard J. Utz, Editor

MORE INFO about DISPUTATIO:

DISPUTATIO:
AN INTERNATIONAL TRANSDISCIPLINARY JOURNAL OF THE LATE MIDDLE AGES

Edited by Carol Poster and Richard J. Utz

Published by Northwestern University Press

Disputatio is an international transdiciplinary annual of the late
middle ages (ca. 1300-1550) published by Northwestern University Press.
Each issue provides exhaustive and diverse treatments of one significant
example of late medieval culture by scholars representing various
nations, approaches, and disciplines. We feature scholary articles,
inclusive review essays, and bibliographies on the topic of each issue.
Preferred length for scholary articles is 4,000-12,000 words and for
research notes under 2,500 words. Review essays will be assigned by the
editors; pelase contact us if you might wish to be assigned a topic. We
are also very commited to publishing bibliographies; please contact us
if you are interested in compiling one. For review essays, inquiries
from younger scholars or those working on dissertations in the field are
particularly welcome. Although the preferred language of Disputatio is
English, we will consider articles in all major European languages and
Latin. All articles not in English must be accompanied by a substantial
abstract in English. Manuscripts must conform to the manual of style of
the Modern Language Association of America. Thus, please provide
endnotes and a 'Works Cited' page, as does the journal PMLA, which can
serve as a model. Although contributors are requested to use hardcopy
for initial submission of manuscripts, final copies of accepted
manuscripts must be submitted on diskette (Microsoft Word for Windows).
Authors should send three copies of the manuscript when submitting
work. All articles will receive blind review by specialists in the
field; final decisions concerning publication, however, rest exclusively
with the editors.
