The St Leger family in medieval (and later) England presumably had ancestors who came from a place in France dedicated to the saint. There's a very juicy 12th c. matrimonial case involving a young lady of the family who was jilted by a young man who was more interested in her cousin: Alexander III had fun trying to tidy things up.
