dear colleagues am a relative new comer to Dublin Core and have been reading the meta2 list with interest although the depth of the discussion is occasionally too much in the deep blue for me. i would however like to comment on the discussion about dates that is currently going on. i have been using metadata for managing information in our company for about 10 years (long before i knew it was called metadata!) As well as using metadata for info retrieval and other traditional uses, (being a librarian by trade) I use it for "performance management" of information and its content.
