Dear Blake Beattie: I may be totally mistaken but this sounds remarkably like the story about the young Merlin who as the son of a devil and a princess became the chosen victim whose sacrifice would secure the foundations of the planned castle. My brain is not in full gear at the moment but it is a story that you will probably find in Geoffrey of Monmouth. Perhaps other listmembers will know more.
