Dear colleagues,

A friend who is not a member of our list, Prof. M. Roy Harris (Univ. of
Virginia), has asked me for help in tracing Old Lombard or Milanese texts
attesting two words which are recorded by Meyer-Luebcke's REW under 6064
"omnis, omnia", that is, Old Lombardic "omiunca" 'workday' (or 'daily'?),
and Old Milanese "ominca" 'all'. Prof. Harris will follow up himself the
references given in the REW (Diez and the AGI), but I would appreciate it if
you could help us to collect further materials. Please send replies either
to the list or directly to Prof. Harris whose e-mail address is
<[log in to unmask]>

Thanking you in advance,

  Otfried
