Thank you Ian, I do think a lot of it is down to the microphone. Before starting to "train" VT, I recorded a WAV file of my speech which sounded "reasonable", but there was a small amount of crackle behind my voice and I felt that this may be enough to cause problems with Dragon and VT as the software obviously wouldn't be able to seperate the sounds like our brains can. As well as the microphone, do you feel quality of soundcard makes a lot of differance? Has anyone found a different rate of success with 64 bit and 32 bit soundcards rather than 16 bit?
