or to give the book its full title `Basil Bunting: a northern life' is well worth purchasing from Newcastle Libraries. The photographs are really something and Bunting's biographical details full of interest. There is, of course, much more to be said. Anyone interested in Basil should send off for a copy before they are all sold out. And now I will gnash my teeth again that Peter Makin's Bunting was priced out of the market for me by OUP.
