A new computer-based learning program has just
been successfully piloted at Manchester University.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE - AN INTRODUCTION TO BASICS offers a
hypertext self-instruction course which covers all essential
topics. The program includes definitions of terms, explanations
of good practice, illustrative examples of current use, and
interactive self-assessment exercises. It is suitable for
students in further and higher education, as well as sixth
      forms and colleges.

The program runs in Windows and requires only 2.5 MB
hard disk space. It may be used as an independent learning
aid, as a work of reference, or in conjunction with
      a word-processor.

Email if you would like further details.
