Does this mean that they are actually using MMX code to speed up the
system, or are they recommending an MMX processor because Intel want
them to? I know we had a rather technical discussion a while ago
regarding the Intel/Microsoft/Compaq "standard" PC, and they were
recommending MMX processors, but so far I've seen little evidence of
software using MMX code. A P166MMX is only slightly faster than a
standard Pentium166 with non-MMX code, and is more expensive than a
Pentium 200.
