Hi all I have come across an excellent article in the June edition of Adviser (No 61) if anyone has access to this journal. The article by Mary McSorley is called Debt and Mental Health. It discusses dealing with debt clients who have mental health problems and how the clients presents, using Schizophrenia as an example. She provides several useful pointers such as helping to fill out DLA forms, among much else. The article is also very helpful in discussing how to work with disturbed clients, including body language, verbal communication and counselling skills.
