Patricia Farrell and I have been collaborating with text and image for 10 years now, on an axis that runs between illustration (ie, text already there), and genuine collaboration: that is, joint production ffrom a single source. Patricia described the process better than I could in her "Material to the Event" essay in the Artist's Book Yearbook 1996-7 We set up Ship of Fools to publish these.
