GREEN LEFT CONFERENCE Saturday 9th November 1996 Conway Hall, Red Lion Square, Holborn, London `The Green Left conference aims to bring together the dispersed energies of the green left, whether in political parties, trade union movements or campaigns of direct action - or bars and back gardens - to develop an alternative vision, exchange information and to open up debate about creating a new alliance. The initiative has been launched by a coalition of organisations from diverse traditions: The Red Green Network, which facilitates dialogue between greens and the left; The Way Ahead, the radical current in the Green Party; The Green Socialist Network of Democratic Left; The Socialist Movement, organiser of the Socialist Conferences; and The Red Green Study Group, authors of What on Earth is to be done?'
