GREEN LEFT CONFERENCE

Saturday 9th November 1996

Conway Hall, Red Lion Square, Holborn, London

`The Green Left conference aims to bring together the dispersed
energies of the green left, whether in political parties, trade
union movements or campaigns of direct action - or bars and back
gardens - to develop an alternative vision, exchange information
and to open up debate about creating a new alliance.

The initiative has been launched by a coalition of organisations
from diverse traditions: The Red Green Network, which facilitates
dialogue between greens and the left; The Way Ahead, the radical
current in the Green Party; The Green Socialist Network of
Democratic Left; The Socialist Movement, organiser of the
Socialist Conferences; and The Red Green Study Group, authors of
What on Earth is to be done?'
