Re trains named after saints the USA navy once intended naming a new battleship
> after the Texas town of Corpus Christi 

When my father was in the army, doing his national service, the armoured
cars and scout cars in his regiment were all named after saints. As a further
complication, each troop was given a different letter. His was 'C', and he
claims that being able to remember "St Chrysostom" (spelling?) was the
only practical use that he'd ever found for the Catholic upbringing that
his mother subjected him to.

Memebers of this list, on the other hand, could probably do you an
alphabet's worth.
