I'd just like to add that I too was at the Symposium. It's the third one I've attended: 1992 in Louvain-la-Neuve, 1994 in Dublin, then this one in Oxford. These symposia are my all-time favourite academic gatherings: they are fairly small (this year's was the biggest, with 60 people attending), and extremely friendly.
