A couple of questions primarily for George Ferzoco: does the FEAST
posting take new saints into account? If so, what is the FEAST day
of Edward Burdon, martyred at York in 1587/8 and beatified in 1987?

Now to throw the matter open to all m-r readers. Does anyone know
whether - or where to find whether - the said Burdon (possibly alias
Burden, Borden or Bowden) can be identified with the Durham man of
that name who was at Oxford in the 1560s (matriculated at Corpus
Christi College 1558, BA 1561, MA 1566).

All comments gratefully received.
