Justine Heazlewood, History Department, Monash University (Australia) I am currently completing an MA on the role of nuns/convents in Medicean Florence. I am looking specifically at a collection of around 250 letters written by nuns to the Medici or their agents. More broadly, I am interested in the position of women in Renaissance italy and using gender as a catagory of historical analysis.
