At its last Committee Meeting, the Research and Higher Education Division agreed to set up a web site in order to disseminate information as widely as possible to geographers within the Society as well as to people interested in joining. The site only relates to the RHED's activities, and not directly to other areas of the Society's work. However, links will be created as soon as the Society finalises its Web policy (for information, there is a meeting at the RGS-IBG on 22 April to discuss the development of a Web site for the Society). For those who would like to try the RHED site out, the address is http://glacier.gg.rhbnc.ac.uk/RHED.html Much of it is still under construction, but the material on the RHED Committee, its structure and terms of reference is now up and running. As further text is available this will be added in. A key feature of the site is a latest news item, and this will hopefully be updated on a weekly basis. If people would like to add anything to this please let me know. All suggestions for improving the site would be welcomed - at the moment it is fairly text dense, but we intend to add in graphics in due course! Tim Unwin Hon. Sec.
