We have a certain family whose youngest (of seven) offspring has just reached her first birthday and who alone has been responsible for 24 night visits during the first twelve months of her life. Which might be understandable except that: a. There's never anything wrong with the kid other than snuffles etc. b. You might have thought that the precedence of the previous six kids might have 'modified the parents' help-seeking behaviour' to use recommended RCGP jargon.
