I seem to remember having all sorts of problems with a stubborn Folder which wouldn't go away. It could be a real problem if one had accidentally downloaded a Playboy centrefold I would think, and it somehow made its way onto the Desktop...
Mine finally went away when my hard-drive crashed 3 weeks ago. :-((
But I learned to ignore mine after a while, especially if it can be re-named to something like <Have a Nice Day> or <Down with EBM> etc.
Apologies to Epidemiologists of course. Many do some good work.
