Hi Paul

C'mon youse guys. Surely the problem here is the doctor not the patient. The
patient wants to get better, and his/her health belief is that antibiotic may
help. While at the top of the doctors agenda is "antibiotics - no way!". So
impasse.

Solution:

* Check out patients health beliefs
* Correct health beliefs as necessary
* Negotiate options including abiotics
* Offer choice: if you've done job right the choice will be "wait and see..."

I've given up worrying about antibiotics long ago. You only need to do this
once and they never come back for amoxil again! And no, they don't go to
someone else...

Should I run a course on this? :-)
