What does everyone do for problems with 'straightforward' superficial phl=
ebitis, by which I mean a well-demarcated length of, for example, the lon=
g saphenous, with marked inflammation, redness, tenderness etc.?

Round here we still send the nurse in to do the "glyc and ic" dressing
(glycerin and icthammol) it works, and even if it doesn't the smell makes the
patient think it ought to!
