Readers of GP-UK may be interested to hear that there is a new Executive Director for the NHSCCC. I understand that it was reported in the Financial Times on Tuesday morning, and the press release outlines the arrangements for Miss Ann Harding of Leicestershire HA to take over, with James Read to become the Director responsible for Classification, reporting to Miss Harding. This change "will ensure that no potential conflict of interest can manifest itself". It is proposed that CAMS rights to exclusively distribute the codes will end in March 1999 when the present contract expires.
