Never, definately not, over my dead body, except on a weekend/bank
holiday/when working for deputising/oh all right then I confess......

I will for uncomplicated cystitis in women without backache as long as they
have no history of renal problems and they promise to do an MSU afterwards.
The only other time is for patients who have had rescue courses of
antibiotics in the past (with severe asthma/coad) and who have not renewed
their script but have a further exacerbation. I need to have personal
knowledge of the patient to do this. Everyone else gets seen.
