Dear all,

A gentle reminder that there is still time to contribute to the co-creation exercise to map the activity of Research Managers across Europe.

RM-ROADMAP - Focus on Research Impact - Who are Research Impact Managers? What are their Skills and Competences?

Consultation deadline 18th April 2024

RM Roadmap project is a Horizon Europe project that aims to co-create the future of Research Management as a profession in Europe. This includes understanding the landscape, defining common terminology, mapping training needs, and more.

There are ten thematic areas which focus on different roles that research managers fulfil.

To contribute to the Theme Research Impact complete our MS Form (https://lnkd.in/eycQ5D6C), which should take less than 10 minutes.

Who should reply to this consultation?
Research Managers working  at any point of the Research lifecycle supporting Research Impact in Europe and beyond. We are defining Research Impact as the impact that research has outside of academia. This includes how it benefits or contributes to changes in the economy, society, culture, public policy or services, health, the environment or quality of life.
This co-creation exercise is targeted at research managers in a wide sense across
academia, industry, funding agencies and civil society organisations.  We fully appreciate that societal impact within research is a relatively new field which is often covered by various roles and job titles and is frequently not a full-time task.
If you feel that this survey is relevant to others within your organisation, please send it to them and ask them to complete it also.

By taking part in this consultation you are co-creating the evidence RM Roadmap aims to capture on the current status, position and needs of research managers in all European countries.
There will be four co-creation exercises, each of which will focus on a different area as follows:

Each of these co-creation exercise will ask the community a series of questions which the thematic ambassadors will then gather into a consensus document that members of the thematic group can discuss and show their support in the RM Roadmap Community Platform.  The consensus reports will contribute to the definition of common terminology for research managers, their key skills and competences, best practice and the value that they bring to the research ecosystem.
