ECIR 2024 normal registration ends on 8th March 2024 (UTC/GMT)

ECIR 2024 will feature an exceptionally rich and high-quality programme including three main conference Keynotes, three Industry Day keynotes, and the inaugural Keith van Rijsbergen awardee keynote presentation. It will also feature a new IR4Good track, a new Collab-a-thon, an Industry dedicated event, 10 workshops and 7 tutorials.

The programme contains full papers, short papers, reproducibility papers, findings papers and demo papers covering a wide range of foundational and emerging information retrieval, recommender systems and responsible AI topics.

ECIR 2024 also has three exciting social events:

  *   Sunday 24th March: Welcome Reception at Radisson Blu Glasgow
  *   Monday 25th March: Civic Reception at Glasgow City Chambers
  *   Tuesday 26th March: Banquet at Crowne Plaza, Clydeside

This is complimented by optional whisky distillery tours on Saturday 23rd and Friday 29th March.

Some highlights include the following keynote presentations:

  *   Monday 25th March: Charles L.A. Clarke (University of Waterloo): Evaluating Generative Information Retrieval Systems
  *   Tuesday 26th March: Josiane Mothe (Institut de Recherche en Informatique de Toulouse; Inspe, Université de Toulouse): Shaping the Future of Endangered and Low-Resource Languages: Our Role in the Age of LLMs
  *   Tuesday 26th March: presentation from the winner of the inaugural Keith van Rijsbergen IR award. The winner will be announced during the conference.
  *   Wednesday 27th March: Carlos Castillo (Universitat Pompeu Fabra): Human Factors and Algorithmic Fairness
