The Wiener Holocaust Library is the world’s oldest Holocaust archive and the home of Britain’s largest collection of published and unpublished works, documents and photographs relating to the Nazi era.

The Wiener Holocaust Library has received funding from The National Lottery Heritage Fund for a ground-breaking new project, Digital Transformation: Connecting Collections and Communities. Made possible by National Lottery players, the project aims to connect diverse communities with newly catalogued and digitised collections from the UK’s Holocaust archive of record over the next three years.

The funding has been awarded to help develop an extensive programme of engagement and education activities. These activities will improve access to educational resources, engage diverse audiences with global histories of the Holocaust, and equip educators, community groups and activists with resources highlighting historical opposition to fascism and antisemitism.

Purpose of the role

The Library has a thriving education and outreach programme, several online resources, and is cataloguing and digitising more of its collections than ever before. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to work with us on engaging core and new audiences with relevant digital resources across our different sites, developing new material, and building skills.

Working closely with the Digital Asset Manager, Senior Curator and Head of Education, Press Manager, and Head of Collections, they will play a key role in developing and delivering outreach activities and projects, educational and digital resources, engaging with a variety of community groups and stakeholders. There will be opportunities to shape the digital community engagement programme while being part of a small but dynamic team.
