Good afternoon,

If you are thinking about employing an apprentice or would like to learn more about the Level 7 Archivist and Records Manager apprenticeship, there is still time to register to attend our upcoming recruitment workshop for employers:

A guide to recruiting an apprentice (online)

19 March (10am – 12pm)

This workshop for employers will discuss recruiting an apprentice, and explore what you need to do and consider throughout the recruitment process. We will explore a range of topics such as good practice, job descriptions, application options, shortlisting, thinking about the interview process, making an offer and the role of the training provider (Westminster Adult Education Service).

The workshop is suitable for all employers within the archive sector, regardless of whether you have run an apprenticeship programme before, or not. This workshop is not suitable for prospective apprentices. If you are interested in applying to become an apprentice please email [log in to unmask]. Please note that the guidance is relevant to archives in England and each country will have its own apprenticeship principles and standards.

Find out more and register to attend a guide to recruiting an apprentice workshop

Best wishes,

James
