Faculty VLE Support Officer
fixed term, full-time, £30,487 - £34,980 p.a.


The University is looking to recruit a Faculty VLE Support Officer to join the Digital Education Team. This is a fixed-term post, which is funded through the VLE Transformation project, to support the rollout of the University’s new cloud-hosted virtual learning environment (VLE) Blackboard Learn Ultra within the Faculty of Social Sciences.

The roles offer an opportunity to provide professional advice and support to academic departments within the Faculty of Social Sciences in the design and development of their VLE module sites, highlighting opportunities to make best use of the Learn Ultra user interface and tool-set to provide a high-quality experience for students.  

You will have knowledge of the underlying educational processes in using learning technologies to enhance student learning and academic practice in higher education, and a demonstrable ability to explain pedagogic and technical issues clearly to people at all levels of technical and academic knowledge, combined with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with all staff, including those at senior levels.

This is a fixed-term (6 months), full-time post, available for an immediate start, running up until the end of March 2024.
