Dear BUCNI users,
Here are some updates and advice regarding data transfer:
- Some current and all upcoming/new projects should use the new QR code registration to register their subjects on the scanner. This ensures GDPR-compliant data access. If you do not
use the QR codes, your data will be accessible for all BUCNI users, which will violate GDPR.
- Please see attached guideline from subject registration to data transfer. Access to the data is now available outside of BUNCI and requires a BUCNI gateway and SFTP server login. UCL
VPN network is not necessary to access your data. You will also be able to find this document on our website (https://www.ucl.ac.uk/pals/bucni/resources/manuals-guidelines).
- If you have not seen Joerg ([log in to unmask]) to set up your access, please contact him on Teams and arrange an appointment. He is
usually at the office Monday to Wednesday. Please make sure you have either Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator already installed on your mobile device before the meeting.
- If you require gateway access ASAP, please do contact Joerg before Thursday, 10 August, as Joerg will be on annual leave from the 10 August to 21 August.
Important information regarding data back-ups:
- DVD back-up will no longer be supported at BUCNI.
- Back-up will now fall upon the responsibility of the researchers and we cannot guarantee that we can find any missing data.
- If you have lost any data, to be able to track the data at BUNCI, the information written into the “Last Name” field on the patient registration form on the scanner console must be
recorded in your notes, which is the date and time of the subject registration <YYMMDD_HHMMSS>. The Patient ID <DateSubjectInitials> (e.g., 230731XX) is not sufficient to find data on the scanners or data servers.
If you have any questions regarding data transfer and gateway, please contact Joerg on Teams. Please take note of his annual leave dates.
If you have any general enquires, please do get in touch with me.
Many thanks.
Kind regards,
Winnie Yeh
