Dear geography+ community -- apologies for cross-posting and please do
circulate widely, especially within your depts and other lists!

ICYMI: quite recently, the *ACME *Collective published an editorial, "An
Unpause-ish Statement,"
<https://acme-journal.org/index.php/acme/article/view/2332>that describes
the (actually interesting, we would say!) changes we've made to our mission
statement around not returning to business as usual, and includes
clarifications about our labor politics, and reaffirms and elaborates our
commitments, among other interventions for the field. We also announce new
kinds of publication formats, reviewer guidelines, and author guidelines.

The two-year relaunch of *ACME* also inspired in us a Call for Papers in
the forms of the "Critical Geography Conversations: ACME’s 20+ Year
Anniversary CFP."
<https://acme-journal.org/index.php/acme/announcement/view/95> We believe
that as much of the first major wave of radical and critical geographers
retires and as new types of theory and thinking grow into and shift the
field, we are losing histories to our field and we are in need of more
education about what is going on across the field. We're therefore seeking
intergenerational or otherwise interviews between geographers
<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1-vQdckvKWit3EUuf9gvZU6KUG3sHp7C4ALuCTCUewb4/viewform?edit_requested=true>,
as well as other kinds of roundtables, conversations, or letters
<https://acme-journal.org/index.php/acme/subformats> to be able to create
more accessible and exciting formats. Please see the full CFP for details.

Finally, we will soon be launching a search for our next Managing Editor.
If you would like to hear more about this position, please reach out to me
or any of our Editorial Collective
<https://acme-journal.org/index.php/acme/about/editorialTeam>.

We wish you all the best and send you much light,
Jack Gieseking, Managing Editor of *ACME*
