Over the weekend of 8 -10 September 2023, the Ella Baker School of
Organising and the Labour Rights Project of the Network for Social
Change are convening a New Organising Conference
<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfxY7wQ2gQsfjky5V51B4emmOMTLeocAMOGuCfsgSwDn3CgFw/viewform?usp=sf_link>,
bringing together a wide range of players in the field of workplace
justice, including academics, third sector organisations, rank and file
reps and union staff. The event will be:

·*Intersectional and inclusive* with a strong focus on organising in
marginalised communities and will explore the implications of different
organising practices for women, people of faith, disabled people, the
LGBTQ+ and racialised minority communities.

·*Action oriented, *exploring what we need to do to build power in our
workplaces.

·*Open to many voices*including new and established unions, whether or
not they are TUC affiliated, as well as non-union organisations
concerned with building power in working class communities.

·*Curious*, particularly interested in the insights arising from the use
of different, and at times competing, strategies and tactics.

·*Educational,*an opportunity to learn, share and create new knowledge
and culture.

There is a sliding scale for registration (from £44 to £176, including
two overnights and all meals, with other options available).

It would be great if people on this list were to sign up to attend, but
it would be even better if you could cascaded it onto workplace leaders
who your work has brought you into contact with.

Key themes already developed include:

·lessons we can learn from recent disputes (including in the education,
health and private sectors)

·unions, climate justice and international solidarity
