We have several places available on the upcoming online Introduction to Data Protection Legislation (GDPR) for Oral Historians workshop, run by the National Life Stories and Oral History Society training group.

 

This half-day workshop is designed for anyone who is recording oral history interviews or planning to archive recordings, use them for research, or make them accessible.

 

Date: Tuesday 25 April 2023, 9.45am – 1.30pm (Timezone: London, UK)

Location: Online by Zoom video call

Cost: £35 full price / £23.50 for members of the Oral History Society or ARA

 

The workshop includes:

·         an overview of data protection legislation relevant to oral history interviews

·         guidance on recording agreements and conducting sensitivity reviews

·         practice scenarios

·         time to discuss questions raised by the group
