Dear colleagues, Fenicians (because it is reported as a valuable merchandise) and inland countries from Mesopothamia and far of, used in the old times Spongia officinalis ashes as a remedie to goiter. Other Demospongiae are also described in Chinese medicine for that purpose… but as Christine suggests why do not use modern medical help?
