Post-doctoral career pathways in the humanities can be as varied as the PhD topic areas and the candidates pursuing them. If you are looking for a career outside the established academic sector, however, it can be hard to access comprehensive information about alternative options.

Join us on 9 March 2023 for a half-day conference organised by the Institute of Languages, Cultures and Societies (School of Advanced Study, University of London) and the University of London Careers Service, as we lay to rest some of the myths about limited career options and explore a wide range of jobs that draw on your skills, knowledge and passion from your PhD in languages, cultures and societies. In this free virtual event, you will have the opportunity to ask questions and learn from industry and career experts, PhD alumni and current students:

· How to develop and communicate your transferable skills
· How to explore a wider range of viable career options
· How to enter and progress in a range of professions and sectors, including archives and libraries, publishing, communications, and policy and the public sector.
