Dear Membership,


We have had an offer of, mostly 1930's, theatre, ballet and concert
programmes from several London venues and also some Scottish ones.



These were collected by musicians one of whom played violin with the LPO ,
RPO and Covent Garden Orchestras.

The donations are described as follows:-



   - There is a bundle from Covent Garden ;
   -  Five  ‘’International Celebrity Subscription Concert’’ programmes
   (Director Harold Holt with world renowned soloists e.g. Menhuin, Tauber,
   Rachmaninov and Heifitz) . These have gorgeous cover illustrations of the
   period as well as the fab adverts inside.
   -  1 Gaiety Theatre Programme - Uday Shankar and with his Hindu Ballet
   1937· 1 Apollo Theatre – Of Mice and Men with John Mills – no date
   -  1 Queen’s Hall – The Markova Dolin Ballet 1937
   -  1 Theatre Royal Drury Lane – Ballet Russe with the LSO 1938
   -  A Scottish batch from the  Usher Hall,  King’s Theatre (some printed
   like newspaper but with no date) and Edinburgh Empire .
