List members may be interested to learn that Mr Alexander Stillmark (formerly University College London) has been awarded the Austrian Federal Chancellor’s Prize for Literary Translation for his translation of Hugo von Hofmannsthal’s Der Unbestechliche (The Incorruptible Servant, 2021). He has previously received the prize in 2002 for his translation of Trakl’s complete works and in 2017 for Hofmannthal’s Der Schwierige (An Impossible Man, 2016), a rare honour to receive the award three times.
